Nice fic, nice comments
Dec. 23rd, 2025 07:33 pmI've had a nice couple of days! The fic I did yesterday was a lot better than the last one, so I am happy with that. Even if it was on the shorter side I love what I did with it.
There has also been a lot more comments coming compared to what I'm used to. It usually takes a few days to get any, but i've had 3 on the last 24 hours, which is very unusual for me, especially now that I'm mainly writing for a rarepair in the last few months. They're very obviously not bots, but it has been interesting to see more people interact with my stuff when it comes to Limbus fics. Not many IDV fics had the chance of getting more comments past the first few days. It's nice to see things are a bit different. Maybe just one time luck, but it's nice!

Not too happy with writing today
Dec. 18th, 2025 10:31 pmDid another prompt fill for an event that lasts the whole month and while I'm happy I wrote something as I haven't been writing much this week... Not too happy with it ngl. As much as I'm glad I did another prompt fill, I do wish I sat down and wrote it on time a few days earlier, as that would've been both longer and better. But what can I do now. Hopefully whatever I write next will be nicer.
Switching to Linux Mint
Dec. 16th, 2025 06:21 pmOver the weekend I made a decision to switch to Linux Mint, since sooner or later, my laptop would probably force me to switch to windows 11, something I do not want to do due to the shitty AI and other useless stuff they'd push out on me. Official support for win 10 has ended, so at some point, Steam would stop supporting it too, which is one of the platforms I use for games, and that would make a problem for me. Not to mention the PC itself is on the older side (i got it in 2020 and not as a new one) so I'd be forced to buy another, and with the shit they're pulling on RAM now, I'd rather not get a new laptop with gb RAM while I already have that much here.
To not deal with window's shit any longer, I decided on Linux Mint, mainly because I've heard from people who use it that it's on the easier side when it comes to Linux operating systems. After a few days so far, I can say I am happy with my choice! Even if I'm not a that amazing with tech, I was able to get everything I needed without much of a fuss. I got Librewolf (my browser of choice) to work right away, I have everything I need for writing and steam works well as it can run on Linux, something that wasn't a case in the past from what I've heard. I do some times use Epic Games due to the free games they have, and I was able to find a work around as the store itself is not possible to run on Linux. The community of games really does care on making it easy to use it, even if the launcher is not a favourite one hahahah.
The only problem I'm still trying to solve is running my non-steam games that normally run on an .exe file, like Identity V and some pirated games. There are ways to do it, but I'm still figuring out, and last time I tried the other day the game did not work sadly. I should be able to get it to work sooner or later however, so that's important.
As everything was easy so far, I'd say Linux is not as scary as some people make it out to me. Mint is the friendliest one for beginners for sure, I'd say if you want to give up on windows this is a good option. I've searched only a few things and haven't had many major problems at this point in time. I will continue to monitor how things work, but so far, I'm happy with my choice to switch!
